Our goal is to empower everyone who wants to learn to feel super confident cleaning up their own artwork on their own time—maximizing your profits and speeding up your order process! Remember: exactly how you upload your file is exactly how it will print.
If you're ready to prep your own artwork before loading it into our Gang Sheet Builder, here are the top free tools and resources to get you started:
-
Upscayl: An incredible free tool to boost your image size without sacrificing resolution or DPI! (https://upscayl.org/)
-
Inkscape: A free tool that works just like Illustrator, perfect for vector images. (https://inkscape.org/release/inkscape-1.4.2/windows/)
-
Photopea: A free photo editor that works just like Photoshop—ideal for cropping, tweaking, and stripping backgrounds. (https://www.photopea.com/)
We also have free Photoshop Half-Tone Actions you can download directly from here!

Print-Ready Checklist
-
Crop It Tight: Trim empty space close to the edges of your artwork. Extra margins cost you money and throw off sizing in the builder!
-
Kill the Background: Double-check that all unwanted background colors are completely transparent.
-
Watch the DPI Indicator: Aim for a solid 300 DPI (the gold standard!). Make sure the builder's DPI indicator flags green for "good."
-
Scale Down, Don't Blow Up: Always start with a large, high-res file and shrink it down if needed. Stretching small, low-res files leads to pixelation! (This is actually why our team will sometimes send back a larger file than you originally asked for when we clean up artwork—so you can safely scale it up for future orders without losing print quality!)
